Copilot Chat Basic Training: From AI Curious to Capable with Microsoft Copilot

Please join me as we explore Microsoft Copilot and learn practical ways to save time and work smarter using Copilot Chat—a tool you already have access to. In this workshop, we will: -Walk through Copilot Studio - Learn how to write more effective prompts - Build a simple AI agent or two in Copilot This session is designed for faculty and staff at any level of experience—whether you're just getting started with AI or looking to get more out of the tools you’re already using. We’ll begin with a simple overview of what Copilot is and how it can support everyday tasks, then walk through Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio with real-world examples relevant to your work. In the second half of the session, we’ll focus on getting better results from AI by learning how to write effective prompts and exploring how simple AI agents and custom GPT-style tools can be used to support your workflow. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a clear understanding of what Copilot can do, practical strategies they can apply right away, and the confidence to continue exploring AI at their own pace.
